15th August 2014

P&O recently announced they have two new members joining their Australian fleet, Pacific Eden and Pacific Aria. Now operating five vessels in local waters, P&O have taken the title of the largest fleet in Australia. In addition to the new cruise ships, their 2015-16 schedule will introduce a number of new itineraries and ports, designed to offer Aussie travellers more choice and more cruising deals. With 250 departures set to sail between November 2015 and November 2016, P&O now offer the largest variety of itineraries of any cruise line in Australia and New Zealand.

P&O Cruises CEO Ann Sherry said the 2015-16 season would be P&O’s biggest to date.

“With five ships in our fleet we can now meet the growing demand for cruise holidays from around Australia, with extended seasons from existing homeports and the addition of new homeports such as Cairns. Plus more ships mean we can visit some wonderful new towns around Australia and the Pacific, on a fantastic range of itineraries which are looking more attractive than ever,” Ms Sherry said.

Cruising holidays with P&O can now begin not only from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Fremantle, but also from Cairns, Auckland and Singapore. More short and sweet P&O SeaBreaks are also on the cards from additional destinations including Hamilton Island, Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island in Australia. If you are touring New Zealand, you can depart from Napier and Bay of Islands near Auckland.

New and exciting destinations have also been added to the schedule, like Gizo Island and Honiara in the Solomon Islands. Bustling Asian destinations will now be at your fingertips, with stops at Jakarta, Makassar, Sabang, Sihanoukville, Phuket, Bangkok and Langkawi, to name a few. New Aussie destinations such as Gladstone, Cooktown and Hamilton Island will also be on the agenda.

P&O's additional ports and destinations open the door for travellers to find the ideal itinerary for their holiday schedule. Coupled with two new ships, a P&O cruise can now take you to some incredible places.
