Los Angeles

California Pizza Kitchen
Also known as CPK by the locals, California Pizza Kitchen is a casual dining chain that first started in beautiful Beverly Hills. Open seven days a week, the whole family can relax and dine at one of these restaurants, with a special kids menu for those under the age of 10. Explore the extensive menu which includes plenty of pizza, from Thai chicken to pepperoni, as well as soups, pasta, sandwiches and salads. Complimentary refills go down a treat and finish it all off with one of their delicious desserts. Perhaps a slice of key lime pie or red velvet cake?

P F Chang’s China Bistro
With over 200 locations worldwide, P F Chang’s is a successful family restaurant serving an array of flavoursome Asian influenced dishes. Begin your feast with Chang’s famous chicken lettuce wraps before enjoying your favourite Chinese dishes, from Mongolian beef and lemon chicken to sweet and sour pork. There are plenty of rice and noodle dishes to try, including Chang’s awesome fried rice, plus a variety of gluten free options. Little ones can choose from their own menu filled with special dishes that kids love.

The Cheesecake Factory
Despite its name, the Cheesecake Factory offers much more than cheesecake... much, much more. This giant American chain has one of the biggest and most diverse menus in town. Enjoy free bread and refills as you peruse the menu and choose from tacos, pizza, pasta, seafood, steak, burgers, curries, salads or anything else you can think of. Even the fussiest eater will find something to take their fancy. Of course, it really is all about the cheesecake and with over 30 unique flavours to choose from, your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied.

The Apple Pan
One of the city’s oldest and most beloved restaurants, entering The Apple Pan is like stepping back in time. Take a seat at the counter and watch the chefs in their white hats cook up the tastiest old-fashioned hamburger. Two favourites on the menu are the hickory burger or the steak burger with their trademark hamburger relish. Wash it all down with a soft drink, served in a cute paper cone that sits in a metal cup holder, and enjoy a serving of their fresh, crispy fries. You mustn’t leave without trying one of their homemade apple or pecan pies, baked from scratch from the original family recipe.

The Farmer’s Market
While it’s not a typical restaurant, The Farmer’s Market had to make the list as it offers the best variety of family friendly eats in Los Angeles. Home to hundreds of vendors, the market is a permanent set up, situated next door to the popular outdoor shopping mall, The Grove. You will find everything here, from tasty treats and gourmet goods to cheap lunches and scrumptious desserts. Sample the local fare, from pizza and sushi to tacos and BBQ. Just be sure to stop at Bob’s Coffee and Doughnuts for a melt-in-your-mouth pastry.
