Carnival Cruise Lines has been working hard to give their Carnival Legend cruise ship an all Aussie upgrade. Along with the most popular components from its sister ship Carnival Spirit, Carnival Legend will showcase brand new features that have been designed and implemented based on insights from Aussie cruisers.
In preparation for her arrival Down Under later this year, Carnival Legend will showcase a Southern Hemisphere first, the RedFrog Pub. This entertainment venue will prove to be a laid back yet lively spot for Aussies to hang out, complete with foosball and live music.
In addition to the pub, the ship will also be home to a Japanese inspired sanctuary for sushi lovers called the Bonsai Sushi. With Asian cuisine being a staple for many Aussies, guests will be able to enjoy all the sushi, sake and sashimi their hearts desire. Meanwhile for dessert, Carnival Legend will also host a well stocked candy store, called Cherry on Top. Guests can indulge in their confectionary favourites and also purchase edible souvenirs.
In response to Aussie’s love of adventure, Carnival Legend will also feature the popular Green Thunder waterslide, which was implemented on the Carnival Spirit in 2012. This green thrill ride is believed to be the steepest and fastest waterslide at sea. Set inside the Carnival Waterworks, guests can cool off at the spacious splash zone which is also home to a giant tipping bucket and racing slides.
The all Aussie upgrade for Carnival Legend will also include popular improvements from the Carnival Spirit such as Australian power points, no tipping, Australian menus and an upgrade to the coffee available onboard in lieu of Aussie’s loyalty to a cup of good quality brew.
The all new Carnival Legend will be setting sail from Australia in September 2014.
