Waitangi Day - Top 5 Activities for Kids in Auckland

6th February 2013

New Zealanders will be celebrating with pride today. Celebrations will be held all the over the country, as kiwis commemorate the signing of the Waitangi Treaty in 1840. Many people will gather for the Waitangi Day Festival in Auckland with some of New Zealand’s finest musicians, whilst Christchurch will celebrate with a combined farmers and artisan market. Others will head to the Bay of Islands, where the original treaty was signed for a dawn service and flag raising ceremony.

Once the formalities have concluded it’s time to have some fun with the kids. We thought we’d spotlight the top 5 activities for kids in Auckland.
