It’s yourTime at myTime

1st November 2012

After successfully partnering with around 130 properties throughout the Caribbean, Asia and the South Pacific, myTime today announced that four hand-picked hotels in Australia will join the exclusive club.

“There’s nothing like arriving at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas and being presented with a chilled towel and iced lycee tea. In the guest room, there’ll be a welcome letter from myself explaining the facilities and a nice surprise for guests to enjoy during their stay. My Time guests may also receive upgrades, breakfast, a complimentary shuttle trip and the more nights they stay the more we’ll reward them - our way of saying thank you,” said Sheraton Mirage General Manager, Lachlan Walker.

The myTime concept was developed in 2011, when Flight Centre approached selected hotels who were willing to provide extra services at no additional cost to guests who booked their accommodation through Flight Centre. The first properties to jump on board were located in Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Aruba. The scheme has been very successful and today’s announcement of expansion into Australia is testament of the response received from appreciative holiday-makers.

Together with the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas - the Pacific International in Cairns, the Paradise Palms at Kewarra Beach and the Parkroyal Darling Harbour in Sydney will become dedicated My Time properties.

Lachlan Walker says that his property is particularly special because its location; set on 145 hectares of tropical gardens and boasts 14 swimming pools, an 18-hole golf course. It is also the only resort right on the beautiful Four Mile beach with direct access to the glorious sand.

“myTime guests will experience a relaxing, friendly, comfortable holiday. Our guests generally take time to reconnect with themselves, a partner or family; they chill out by the pool with a book in one hand and a cocktail in another. They take leisurely strolls on Four Mile Beach to watch the sunrise or head to the Country Club to watch the sunset. They’re calmed by Yoga at the Country Club overlooking the Daintree and Aquatic Range, or unwind inside in the air conditioned comfort at the Daintree Lounge,” said Mr Walker.

Special inclusions for myTime guests only available at the Sheraton Mirage Resort include two return transfers to the Port Douglas Village and for holiday-makers who stay three or more nights will receive a complimentary Sheraton Aqua Pass per person for access to the Aqua Play zone in the resort’s North Lagoon Pool. Guests who stay seven or more nights will receive a complimentary invitation to the General Manager’s weekly Cocktail Party.

For travellers who wish to see the sights of Tropical North Queensland, Mr Walker recommends visiting Mossman Gorge, with its new Visitor Centre. The gorge is famous for its crystal clear waters that cascade effortlessly over large granite boulders. There’s a two kilometre loop track that meanders through lush, tropical rainforests.
