Get to know Paris More Intimately

3rd November 2011

He's been around the traps for a while and when it comes to knowing what to do on the other side of the globe this man is certainly in the know. Clinton Hearne, National Product Specialist for Escape Travel Australia recently returned from another trip to Paris with a tip for you...

Eiffel towerA first timer in Paris must do the hop on hop off bus tour. Paris is one of the biggest cities in the world and to navigate your way around this city could be slightly daunting for some on their first encounter.

The hop on, hop off pass is a great way to familiarise yourself with the city. You'll also get up to speed with the history of this beautiful city from the audio guide (multiple languages available). There are four bus lines to explore and passes cost 29 euros for one day or 33 for two days.

My recommendation is to get your pass before departing Australia. It will save you money by paying in Aussie dollars. One day is simply not enough so don't hesitate on the two day pass.

Paris is so large you could pretty much spend a day getting your barings on each of the four lines - without even getting off the bus and spend day two working through your must see list.

The bus is comfortable, convenient and frequent. Jump on board and see the sights and get to know Paris a little more intimately.
