Khao Lak Information

Khao Lak is a beautiful and unspoiled area located just about an hour from Phuket airport. As with many of Thailands west coast areas, there are miles of beaches with sparkling blue waters. Khao Lak is different in that it is has not been developed extensively and remains pristine and uncrowded.

The beaches are backed by lush tropical jungles, waterfalls and lakes. Not far from here is the incredible fresh water Cheow Lan Lake, perched among the rainforests and mountains.

The beaches run for many kilometres fronting the Andaman Sea and are close by to reefs, estuaries and islands. Khao Lak is the jumping off point for Similan Islands a world famous diving location and marine park.

There is plenty of accommodation available in the area, although none of it is high rise and most are hidden away, sympathetic with the beautiful natural environment.
