Rainbow Springs Nature Park Information

Rainbow Springs Nature Park is on the northern outskirts of Rotorua about 5 minutes from the centre of town. The nature park covers over 22 acres of native bushland and is criss crossed with pathways through flowering plants, clear pools of trout filled mineral waters, and impressive Redwoods. The park is home to many species of wildlife, but is most famous for it's program of Kiwi conservation.

Visitors to the park can learn all about the elusive Kiwi in the modern display and information area and see the Kiwi Conservation program in action through the Kiwi Encounter attraction which operates tours of the behind the scenes work raising Kiwi chicks and nurturing them through to their release into the wild.
