Mount Maunganui Information

Mount Maunganui is a thriving coastal resort town located at the tip of the southern entrance to the Bay of Plenty, as well as the name given to the extinct volcano that features prominently near the town. On the harbour side of "The Mount" lies Pilot Bay, an idyllic and sheltered area perfect for swimming, kayaking and boating, while on the coastal edge the warm, clear waters of the Mount Main Beach offer great surf conditions for all.
