Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's capital and the newest capital of Asia. It is a fascinating place to explore and is one of the world's most well recognised cities, in part due to the twin Petronius Towers which dominate the skyline. The Petronas Twin Towers are the highest freestanding twin tower structures in the world, they rise just over 45o metres into the air.

Also pay a visit to Merdeka Square, the busy streets of Chinatown and the National Mosque. There are some tranquil parklands to enjoy a break from the pace of the streets including the Lake Gardens or you can visit the National Museum, enjoy the thrills of the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park or take a day trip to the amazing Batu Caves or intriguing Malacca.

KL has a lively nightlife scene which usually kicks off around 10pm. A fascinating art and performance culture is also prevalent within the city encompassing music, theatre and cinema. Its varied cuisine is an adventure in itself, and shopping in KL offers everything from street-side trinkets at night markets (pasar malam) to haute couture.
