Yasawa Islands Information

The Yasawa group of Islands in Fiji are located to the north west of Viti Levu. They stretch for around 80 kilometres in a long line and range from tiny atolls to large volcanic islands with jungle clad mountains and long bays lined with perfect beaches and coral fringed lagoons.

The islands are most well known for the many miles of unspoilt and magnificent beaches and reefs which attract visitors from around the world. It's a perfect place to forget about the rest of the world and transition into "Fiji Time", at least for a while.

The islands were the filming location for Blue Lagoon. The islands are accessible from Denarau Marina and Loutoka via boat transfer or even sea plane.

The group has many luxury resorts, Turtle Island, Yasawa Island resort, Navutu Stars resort being some of the main ones. More modest accommodation can be found on the west coast of Naviti Island including Botaira Resort and Korovou Eco Resort. There are many other budget options too on some of the smaller islands.

Naviti Island channel has an impressive procession of Manta Rays that swim through at some times of year providing divers with an unforgettable experience. The Sawa-i-Lau Caves off the south coast of Yasawa Islands are another experience out of the ordinary. To access the caves visitors must swim through a submerged entrance, these caves were also featured in the Blue Lagoon film.
