Airlines of Virgin Blue
The Airlines of Virgin Blue consist of Pacific Blue, Polynesian Blue and Australia's own Virgin Blue. These three airlines combined travel to 24 destinations in Australia along with eight international destinations.
Pacific and Polynesian Blue are known for their different fare types – Promo, which are usually available during sales, Blue Saver, the recognized everyday low fare, Flexible, a fully transferable choice, and Corporate Plus, the business person's choice fare which allows for extra baggage and other benefits.
Travel options
First Class, Business Class and Economy Class all provide comfortable, modern leather seats that have a seat pitch of around 31.5-inches. For those who would like a bit more room, you are welcome to reserve an exit row or a front row seat ahead of your Virgin Blue Airlines flight booking for an extra charge.
Dining
Dining options for Virgin Blue Airlines include a selection of meals and snacks from the V-Licious menu, including hot or cold beverages such as tea, coffee, juice, soft-drinks, beer, wine and spirits. You can choose from snacks, sandwiches or hot meals for purchase. Pacific and Polynesian Blue passengers can choose from a tasty a-la-carte menu. Delicious hot breakfasts and dinners, mid-flight munchies and beverages, both alcoholic and non alcoholic, are available for purchase.
Entertainment
In-flight entertainment is available for a small fee. For this payment, you have the use of a 'digEplayer' entertainment system that allows you to enjoy recent popular movies, television shows and music videos. There is also a wide variety of free audio channels for passengers to listen to.
Clubs, lounges and alliances
Travellers who regularly book flights on the Airlines of Virgin Blue are rewarded for their loyalty. The Velocity programme, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue's loyalty programme, allows members to accumulate points that can then be used to travel at any time that suits – including busy holiday periods. The Lounge can be accessed via a single entry or annual fee and provides a place for passengers to relax between flights.
