As part of the Whitsunday Island, spectacular Hamilton Island offers rest and relaxation away from the stresses of modern life. Laze around the resort’s pool or grab some snorkelling equipment and admire the incredible marine life of the Great Barrier Reef. Energetic travellers will enjoy the kayaking options, the golfing opportunities on nearby Dent Island or hiking up to Passage Peak.
Hobart
A mystery flight to Hobart will allow you to explore this historically important city. The waterfront area is a great place to wander before heading to Salamanca. While in the region, consider taking a day trip to Port Arthur, the site of a colonial jail.
Sunshine Coast
The perfect destination to do absolutely nothing would have to be the Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The series of chilled townships just north of Brisbane such as Caloundra, Coolum and Noose – collectively inspire rejuvenation. If you’re after attractions – Underwater World at Mooloolaba with its shark tunnel is fantastic.
Broome
For a uniquely West Australian experience, check out Broome and the adjacent Cable Beach – the sun set over the beach is spectacular. Make sure you head up to Gantheaume Point. The region grew from pearl farming, so while in the area take a trip to a working pearl farm for a fascinating tour.
Sydney
A city that probably needs little introduction – there’s always something new to discover in Sydney. Sunbake on a lesser-known beach such as Tamarama, uncover a new picturesque back street in the Rocks or bop the night away in the latest CBD hot spot. On the other hand enjoy the shopping opportunities in Paddington or see what all the fuss is about in the new Westfield.
