Galway Airport (GWY) is located at Carnmore just 8km north of Galway on the west coast of Ireland. Galway has the reputation as "Ireland's Cultural Heart" and attracts many tourists keen to experience the "real" Ireland.

The main airline that dominates this airport is the Aer Arann – as you would expect from an Irish airport. Small and cozy, the terminal is easy to get around.

If you need to get into the city and you time it just right you could catch the twice daily bus which runs every day (except on Sundays or public holidays which are every other day). You can also pick up a taxi form in front of the terminal or hire a car. Galway Airport (GWY) doesn't have a rail service.
